What is F1 in Schools?
F1 in Schools is an international competition where students design, build, and race miniature Formula 1 cars powered by compressed CO₂. But it’s more than just a race — it’s a global education challenge that brings together science, technology, engineering, and math in one thrilling package.
Every team runs like a real-world engineering firm: we do project management, CAD design, aerodynamics testing, branding, marketing, presentations, and fundraising — all before we even get to race.
Why It’s a STEM Powerhouse
Everything we do is grounded in real engineering principles. We use:
- CAD software to design our car
- 3D printing and CNC machining to manufacture it
- Wind tunnel and simulation testing to improve performance
- Project portfolios to document and present our process
The race cars are about 20 cm long and powered by a tiny CO₂ cartridge — but getting them from 0 to the track involves hundreds of hours of teamwork and technical learning.
Where We Fit In
We are ASAP Racing — one of the top-ranked all-girls teams in Canada. In 2024, we placed 2nd nationally and won six major awards at the Canadian Finals. Our success earned us an invitation to represent Canada at the F1 in Schools World Finals in Singapore, held during the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
It’s an incredible opportunity to showcase our skills, our story, and our country — on a global stage.
Why It Matters
This isn’t just about building a car. It’s about showing young girls what’s possible. About building skills that last a lifetime. And about proving that innovation, determination, and engineering excellence can come from anyone — no matter their gender.
We’re not just preparing for a race.
We’re preparing for our future.

We can’t do this without you.
We’re five high school girls from Québec heading to Singapore to represent Canada at the F1 in Schools World Finals. We’ve already proven ourselves on the national stage — placing 2nd in Canada and winning six major awards — but getting to the international finals means raising over $60,000 to cover travel, registration, materials, and equipment.
Whether you’re an individual donor, a company, or a potential partner — every contribution helps us race closer to the start line.
