We’re five high school girls from Québec heading to Singapore to represent Canada at the F1 in Schools World Finals. We’ve already proven ourselves on the national stage — placing 2nd in Canada and winning six major awards — but getting to the international finals means raising over $60,000 to cover travel, registration, materials, and equipment.

Whether you’re an individual donor, a company, or a potential partner — every contribution helps us race closer to the start line.

FAQ’s

How are teams judged?2025-05-27T14:05:27-04:00

In STEM Racing, teams are judged on far more than just how fast their car goes. The evaluation covers a wide range of criteria designed to reflect real-world STEM and business skills.

Judging categories include:

  • Engineering design and innovation

  • Car speed on the track

  • Project management and organization

  • Team identity and branding

  • Verbal presentation to a panel of judges

  • Sustainability practices

  • Pit display and visual impact

  • Scrutineering for technical compliance and safety

Each area is scored independently, and the most successful teams perform strongly across all categories—not just in racing.

How did you qualify for the World Finals?2025-05-27T14:06:18-04:00

ASAP Racing earned their spot at the STEM Racing World Finals by competing in a series of regional and national events across Canada. They began by winning at the Quebec provincial level, then advanced to the Canadian National Finals, where they placed 2nd overall out of all teams in the country.

In addition to their top ranking, they won six national awards—including Best Engineered Car, Women in Motorsport, and Sustainability—demonstrating excellence across technical, creative, and leadership categories.

Only the top few teams from each country are invited to the World Finals. ASAP Racing’s performance, dedication, and unique identity as an all-girls team earned them the honour of representing Canada on the global stage.

What skills do you learn through the competition?2025-05-27T14:07:07-04:00

STEM Racing teaches students a powerful mix of technical, creative, and professional skills that go far beyond the classroom. Participants learn how to:

  • Use CAD and 3D design tools

  • Apply physics and engineering principles

  • Communicate through public speaking and presentations

  • Manage projects, time, and teams

  • Solve real-world problems

  • Work collaboratively under pressure

  • Develop branding and marketing strategies

  • Fundraise and engage with sponsors

These aren’t just academic skills—they’re life skills. For many students, this competition builds confidence, leadership, and a sense of belonging in fields where they may not have seen themselves before.

How do you manage the money raised?2025-05-27T14:30:02-04:00

All funds raised for ASAP Racing are managed through a registered school foundation, which ensures full transparency, accountability, and compliance with nonprofit financial practices.

The foundation holds the funds in trust and releases them based on a pre-approved, itemized budget provided by the team and their faculty advisor. No student has direct access to the money.

This structure ensures every dollar is spent responsibly—only on competition-related costs such as registration, travel, equipment, and presentation materials. Donors can trust their contributions are managed with integrity and audited oversight.

What values does the team promote?2025-05-27T14:36:20-04:00

ASAP Racing is built on a foundation of collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and integrity. These values guide everything the team does—from how they build their car, to how they work together, represent their school, and share their message with the world.

They believe in the power of education, the importance of equitable opportunities for all genders, and the value of kindness and respect in competitive environments. Their all-girls team models what it means to uplift one another and grow as a collective, rather than compete from ego.

Their presence at Worlds is not just about winning—it’s about proving that empathy, leadership, and teamwork belong at the highest levels of science and sport.
